Community Outreach

Our Veterinary team values educating, as well as giving back, to our community.

Outreach

We look for oppourtunities to share our expertise and volunteer our time with our clients and community. Our staff is actively involved in many community outreach programs to promote pet health and increase awareness as well as lend a hand where we can. Gentle Touch Animal Hospital is proud to purchase bullet proof vests for the K-9 unit of the Denver Sheriff's office. Here is Rue trying her's on for the first time. Next up, Karma.

The Colorado Pet Pantry

Dr. Tasky is on the board of this wonderful Non-profit Organization in Denver. They recognized that in a bad economy too many families were having to choose between feeding their 2 legged and 4 legged family memebers. This will help in preventing that from happening. They accept food, treats and of course financial assistance. Anyone who needs help is welcome to partake in their products.

Hampden Heights Annual Homeowners Picnic

We love to give back to our community. Hampden Heights has their Fall Festival every September and we are there handing out goodies as well as drawings for high dollar items. We also provide the face painter and ballon artist. A great time is had by all!

The Stink Bug Project

Gentle Touch Animal Hospital is proud to support cancer survivor, Allison Winn, and the Stink Bug Project. This amaing organization supports families strickend with childhood cancer and provides well-trained, loving companion dogs for patients. Help support Stink Bug by purchasing Allisons homemade dog biscuits and we will mathc 50% of the proceeds! Allison has also been featured in the Denver Post if you want to read more about this amazing survivor.

To thank our community for helping to make us one of the best Denver Veterinarian’s, it is our pleasure to sponsor and/or participate in many community programs.

To highlight just a few of them:

Southmoor Park Homeowner's Association Annual Picnic

We have provided many items and services over the last 5 years to be raffled at the picnic. This year we decided to expand our services and provide a pizza party and an ice cream social, to be held at the hospital! We love being able to give back to the community that supports us. We have the best vets and staff in Denver!

Southmoor Elementary School

We have been a financial sponsor for the silent auction for the last 10 years. The money that is raised at the auction helps to fund teachers and pay for supplies. We donate auction items such as Free Exams and “Vet for a Day”. “Vet for a day” has been know to cause quite a “ruckus” among the parents vying for it for their kids!

Montessori School of Denver, St. Mary's Academy, Ben Franklin Academy and Regis Jesuit Highschool

These schools are proud particpants in our “Vet For a Day” program. It is an exciting experience for the kids that earns a lot of money for the schools. Our vets look forward to the days when they have eager children observing them throughout the day. Most of them leave here stating they definitely want to be a vet when they “grow up”!

Tri for the Cure

We were a proud sponsor of the 2009 Denver race that helped raise money for breast cancer research. On registration day we handed out over 2,000 bags of animal cookies and wished the racers luck!

Colorado Pet Aid Fund

We are an on-going sponsor to this fantastic organization. They give help to any pet in need.

Colorado Vincentian Volunteers

We annually support this group and their many good works, including helping some of Denver’s most impoverished people. They do this by serving agencies such as Stout Street Clinic, The Gathering Place and Samaritan House, as well as many other too numerous to name.

Canine Companions for Independence

We proudly discount all vet care for our clients who are training dogs for this amazing program. It is so rewarding to see these wonderful dogs adopted out to such an appreciative owner after they graduate their training!

The Denver Jacees

This organization provides services to lower income kids through the Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, they found us and asked us to help them out. It was our pleasure!
